JOHNSTON, IA - Iowa Public Television is proud to be the home for live coverage of Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Championships, on air and streaming at Iptv.org. This year's action begins in March with coverage of the 2017 IGHSAU Iowa Farm Bureau Girls State Basketball Championships at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Teams from across the state will compete for their respective class titles.

The broadcast will include highlights of special performances from the All-Iowa Honor Dance Team and the Parade of Champions. Coverage will also include features on Pocahontas Indians player and career scoring state record holder Elle Ruffridge, the Turkey Valley Trojans, the Central Decatur Cardinals, the Davenport North Wildcats, and the Mediapolis Bullettes 1967 Honor Team.

Live coverage throughout the weekend will be as follows:

Friday, March 3

5:30 p.m. IPTV Sports Pregame Show
6:00 p.m. Class 1A
8:00 p.m. Class 2A

Saturday, March 4

3:30 p.m. IPTV Sports Pregame Show
4:00 p.m. Class 3A
6:00 p.m. Class 4A
8:00 p.m. Class 5A
