JOHNSTON, IOWA (February 11, 2019) — Iowa Public Television's popular series featuring fresh Iowa ingredients, innovative Iowa farmers, and imaginative Iowa chefs will premiere nationwide Monday, February 25. Iowa Ingredient will be joining the lineup on Create TV, a public television channel available in markets across the country, Mondays at 7:30AM and 1:30PM. "We are honored and excited to show the rest of the country what we as Iowans know to be true — that our state is full of flavor," said executive producer Deb Herbold. "Viewers nationwide will recognize the ingredients we feature, and won't be able to resist our delicious Iowa recipes." Iowa Ingredient explores the farms, restaurants, and ingredients that make Iowa food uniquely Iowan. Host Charity Nebbe takes viewers on a journey to discover flavorful Iowa ingredients. From blueberries to spinach to plums and Maytag blue cheese, each episode features a single Iowa ingredient and treats viewers to a spectacular trip from the farm to the table. Viewers discover where these delectable ingredients are grown in Iowa, learn more about some talented chefs who use local ingredients, and join Nebbe in the kitchen to savor some delicious recipes. "I have always been blown away by the innovation, passion and talent of our Iowa growers and chefs," Nebbe said. "I can't wait for the people across the nation to learn more about our state, its delicious food and the incredible people who live here!" In addition to its new national air times on Create, Iowa Ingredient airs Thursdays at 6:30 and Saturdays at 11:30 on IPTV's main channel. IPTV viewers can also enjoy local air times of the series on IPTV Create (.4) Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7AM, 1PM and 8PM.
