Iowa county-supervisors will present the Friend of the County Award to Gov Kim Reynolds at 9:30AM on Wednesday, March 13, in the Capitol Rotunda

DES MOINES, IOWA (March 12, 2019) — The Iowa State Association of County Supervisors (ISACS) will present its annual Friend of the County Award to Governor Kim Reynolds for her continued commitment to counties by supporting full funding of the commercial and industrial property tax-backfill and mental-health and disability services. Dawn Smith, ISACS President and Cedar County Supervisor, will present the prestigious award to Governor Reynolds at 9:30AM on March 13 in the Capitol Rotunda.

The award presentation will take place in conjunction with the 11th Annual Iowa State Association of Counties (ISAC) County Day at the Capitol during which hundreds of county officials from various county offices will attend and offer displays that exhibit to legislators and the public the important services that counties provide. ISAC members will also be encouraged to meet with their individual legislators to advocate for issues of importance to county governments.
