Johnston, Iowa (July 27, 2017) - Iowa Public Television has brought Iowa State Fair highlights statewide for 47 years and will once again broadcast extensive coverage of the Iowa State Fair, nightly at 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., August 14-19. These hour-long programs are among the network's most-watched of the year. Bill Riley will return as host of this year's coverage, which is full of feature contest results, unique stories, food, animals, music and more. Coverage begins with a live broadcast of the 2017 Iowa State Fair Parade on Wednesday, August 9 at 7:30 p.m. IPTV will also broadcast coverage of the finals of the State Fair Talent Championship on Sunday, August 21, at 8 p.m.  Below is a list of topics scheduled for each Fair 2017 episode.
