AMES, IOWA (November 25, 2020) — The College of Human Sciences learning-community peer mentors were recently named for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Brenna Kundel, a(n) elementary education major from Davenport, Iowa (52806), has been named a peer mentor for the Future Teacher — Future Leaders learning community, a group that connects students with both social and academic activities.
Eleanor Kurth, a(n) kinesiology and health major from Bettendorf, Iowa (52722), has been named a peer mentor for the Kinesiology Freshman learning community, a group that helps incoming freshman explore academic and social experiences within their major.
Katharine Jackovich, a(n) elementary education major from Eldridge, Iowa (52748), has been named a peer mentor for Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers learning community, a group for students whom want to explore teaching as a career path.
Peer mentors help guide Iowa State students, helping them adjust to their surroundings and gain academic and social experiences, further connecting them to their major and fellow peers.
