DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 30, 2021) — It’s the 175th Anniversary of Iowa Statehood (1846-2021) and the Davenport Public Library Main Branch is creating a celebration to highlight Davenport and Iowa history on Thursday, August 19, 4:30–7:30PM. The event with feature locally sourced products, and promote our downtown community. This event occurs on the first night of Alternating Currents, kicking off a weekend of art, music, and culture supporting the Q2030 Initiative.

The #Iowa175 Celebration will feature charcuterie boards of locally sourced specials from vendors and businesses downtown, including Oh So Sweet by Tiphanie, Cookies and Dreams, Fox, and Honey, Coffee Society, Chill Ice Cream and Eats, Hy-Vee Bettendorf, Chocolate Manor, Castles’ Cheese, Unimpaired, and Mad Bakery. There will be demonstrations and activities happening on the first floor. QC Beats performers, Soultru and Poor Bill, will provide live music throughout the event.
