JOHNSTON, IOWA (October 23, 2019) — Iowa Public Television's annual fall pledge event, FestiFall, will take place this year November 10-11, 16-17, and 23-24, November 28-December 2, and December 4 and 15. Featuring a wide variety of specials, FestiFall offers viewers the opportunity to support the programming and services they enjoy all year long, and help make it possible for all Iowans to continue watching these programs. Special thank-you gifts, including tickets and exclusive items, will also be available.

With musical performances, travel specials, local productions, lifestyle programs, and more FestiFall will feature new specials and classic favorites. The schedule for IPTV is below; viewers can visit Iptv.org for programs airing on IPTV WORLD.3 and IPTV Create.4 and for schedule updates.

Local

  • Historic Buildings of Iowa: Des Moines, Saturday, November 23, at 5:30PM — Iowa Public Television takes viewers inside some of the state's most historic buildings, explores their stunning architecture and traces their histories, which are intertwined with governors, philanthropists and famous business leaders from the state's past.
  • Iowa Land and Sky, Thursday, November 28, at 8:30PM — Through aerial drone cinematography, this program features breathtaking bird's-eye perspectives, as well as beautiful close-ups of Iowa's landforms.
  • Quilts of Valor, Monday, November 11, at 6:30PM — National quilting celebrities Alex Anderson, Mark Lipinski and Marianne Fons reunite to work on a new Quilt of Valor.

  • Aretha Franklin Remembered (My Music), Saturday, November 30, at 9:30PM — From her youthful gospel singing in a Detroit church with her sisters and pastor father, Aretha Franklin was destined for a lifelong legacy of song.
  • Carpenters: Close to You (My Music), Saturday, November 23, at 9PM — This music-filled documentary traces the Carpenters' career through the eyes of Richard Carpenter and the group's friends in the music business.
  • Celtic Woman: Ancient Land, Sunday, November 24, at 4:30PM — Stunning new music is performed in a concert at the beautiful Johnstown Castle in Wexford, Ireland.
  • A Classic Christmas (My Music), Saturday, November 16, at 6PM — Join hosts Gavin MacLeod and Marion Ross for this festive, all-star special of favorite carols and popular standards. Performers include Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Judy Garland, Nat King Cole, The Carpenters and many more.
  • Country Music: Live at the Ryman, Saturday, November 30, at 6PM — This concert is a musical journey tracing the evolution of country music and its many branches and highlighting its foundational stars.
  • Great Performances: Kinky Boots, Friday, November 29, at 8:30PM — Rejoice with the Tony Award-winning high-heeled hit musical about an unexpected duo that embraces their differences to create an extraordinary line of shoes.
  • Great Performances: Michael Bublé: Tour Stop 148, Sunday, November 24, at 6:30PM — Experience superstar singer Michael Bublé's visually thrilling and musically triumphant "To Be Loved Tour" featuring performances of his biggest hits.
  • John Fogerty: My 50 Year Trip, Saturday, November 30, at 8PM — Inspired by the 50th anniversary of Woodstock and John Fogerty's hit parade with Creedence Clearwater Revival, this special re-creates the sounds and spirit of 1969.
  • John Sebastian Presents Folk Rewind (My Music), Saturday, November 23, at 7PM — A live reunion of folk singers includes Barry McGuire, Roger McGuinn and The Chad Mitchell Trio.

  • Pete Seeger Tribute Concert: Woody's Children 50th Anniversary, Saturday, November 30, at 4:30PM — This historic tribute concert showcases some of Pete Seeger's favorite musicians performing some of his most beloved songs in celebration of what would have been his 100th birthday: May 3, 2019.
