The current National Weather Service forecast indicates the area could receive two to four more inches of snow beginning later this evening, Tuesday, February 19. A Snow Emergency has been declared due to predicted conditions. The Snow Emergency will be in effect beginning at 10PM, Tuesday, February 19, through 6PM, Wednesday, February 20.

Accumulating snow from this event will impact the Wednesday morning commute.  Give yourself a little extra time, increase your following distance, and drive with caution if you are out late this evening into Wednesday evening.

Snow is expected to be followed by ice, sleet, and rain.

Vehicles parked on Posted Snow Routes during a Snow Emergency may be ticketed and towed. As an alternative to on-street parking in the Downtown, residents and visitors to the area may park for free in any the city’s parking ramps beginning at 3PM today, Tuesday, February 19, through 7AM Thursday, February 21.

Crews will respond when the snow starts to fly. E-mail, phone and text notifications will be delivered shortly.
