DAVENPORT, IOWA (January 30, 2019) — The Davenport Public Library's three locations will all close at 5:30PM today, Wednesday, January 30. All three locations will also open late tomorrow, Thursday January 31, at Noon.

Davenport Public Works has posted the following update that the sub-zero temperatures are causing gelling diesel and operational issues for our buses. Some routes may be running late. The City has sent out a couple of extra drivers in sedans to check on stops to make sure no one is waiting outside at the stop.

If you need to go out today and require bus transportation please be sure to call your destination ahead of time to make sure it is open. Frostbite can occur in less than 10 minutes at these temperatures.

Stay safe and be careful today. Talk soon.
