DAVENPORT, IOWA (March 4, 2019) — Davenport will begin accepting applications for police officer on March 14. Four workshops have been scheduled for any applicants interested in learning detailed information about the testing process and being a police officer with the Davenport Police Department. The first workshop is Tuesday, March 5; 6:45PM, at the North YMCA, 624 W 53rd Street. Below is a list of alternative places/dates/times. Please call if you have questions:

Public Works is looking for volunteers to help with improving Duck Creek by planting bluebells along a section of the Duck Creek Recreational Trail. The project will help to stabilize soils and filter pollutants, not to mention diversify trail views and habitats. The planting will take place on Saturday, March 30 beginning at 9AM. The section of trail to be improved by this project is located near the trail spur off of E George Washington, just west of Garfield Park.
