DAVENPORT, IOWA (March 14, 2019) — Davenport Public Works has provided details regarding two situations that will impact travel. E Locust is reduced to one lane in each direction between Tremont and Locust streets due to a manhole collapse. Repairs are anticipated to be complete by or before Friday, March 29. W 6th Street is closed between Telegraph and Howell streets for repairs to a 60-inch storm sewer line. The time to repair and re-open the road is unknown at this time.

In you are covering the St Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Davenport this weekend, you may want to stop in at the Main Library and capture some images as kids enjoy St Patrick’s Day Crafts. The fun gets underway after the big parade. It sounds like a great way for kids to enjoy the holiday, too!

Also as a reminder, please know that Public Works crews will be putting up flood protection at Modern Woodmen Park today. The staging of materials is underway, which will be followed by installation of the protective devices.
