DAVENPORT, IOWA (September 2, 2021) — Bar-B-QC is the Jaycees of the Quad Cities’ newest fundraiser. In its inaugural year, Bar-B-QC, presented by Midwest Grilling Supplies, will be showcasing some delectable barbecue from local and national vendors alike, as well as a craft beer-tasting, paying homage to the former Brew-Ha-Ha and Quad Cities Rib Fest.

The public will have a chance to vote for People’s Choice Ribs and Best Sauce, with awards given to the respective winners in each category. While the barbecue and beer will be the foundation of the event, we cannot forget about the live music from local artists that will be flowing throughout the event all weekend long. Checkout our schedule of bands and events on our website at www.barbqc.com.

The event will take place in LeClaire Park, located in downtown Davenport, on Friday, October 1, and Saturday, October 2, 11AM–11:00PM on both dates. There will be free admission 11AM-5PM, with a $5 admission from 5–11PM. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome so you can sit back, enjoy some good food, good drinks, and good music. On Saturday afternoon, we will honor our Brew-Ha-Ha roots by hosting a tasting of craft beers from local brewers for an additional charge.

“We are so excited and honored to be bringing back a different take on BBQ to the Quad Cities. Our volunteers have put a lot of sweat and tears into this event, and we are really looking forward to the anticipated support from this amazing Quad Cities community,” said Nikki Schaul, chairwoman of this new event.

Proceeds from Bar-B-QC will support the community, along with any other fundraiser hosted by Jaycees of the Quad Cities. CDC mandates will be in place to make for a safe and successful event for both attendees and vendors. Come hungry, come thirsty, and come prepared for some fun!
