BETTENDORF, IOWA (February 21, 2019) — United Way of the Quad Cities announced today that local veteran fundraising professional, Jennifer von Kaenel has been named Senior Vice President, Resource Development, starting January 28, 2019. She returns to the organization where she served as Vice President of Major Gifts and Endowment from 2004-2005.

She’s motivated by a strong commitment to service — to people and our community. This makes her a great fit with our staff, volunteers, advocates and donors who care about amplifying the success of every Quad Citizen.”
Jennifer is a certified fundraising executive (CFRE) with over 23 years experience in development, marketing, and volunteer management. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Augustana College and a Master’s Degree in nonprofit management from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
Jennifer worked as the Development Director at WVIK Quad Cities NPR for seven years and most recently was with The Moline Foundation as the Director of Development and Public Relations.

One of von Kaenel’s first projects will be working with Women United on developing their next steps to fuel their movement to ensure every Quad Cities child is ready for kindergarten.
Jennifer lives in East Moline, Illinois and is married to David von Kaenel. They have two daughters, 10 and 23 years old.
