BETTENDORF, IOWA (April 3, 2020) — First Midwest Bank has announced a $50,000 pledge to the United Way of the Quad Cities to respond to local challenges faced by residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nearly 25,000 Quad Cities students are on the Free and Reduced lunch program. By collecting basic school-supply items, United Way of Quad Cities aims to help students feel prepared and ready to learn — thus setting them up for success in the coming school year.  

What: Thirty-five African American men will walk side-by-side with African-American boys — the leaders of tomorrow — at the annual Well-Suited Tuxedo event committed to the growth and development of the next generation.

QUAD CITIES (May 12, 2019) — After a great deal of hard work and collaboration, United Way of the Quad Cities is proud to announce the 2019 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive has collected a preliminary total of 100,119 pounds of food! All donations collected in the Quad Cities will stay in our community and be distributed by River Bend Foodbank.

QUAD CITIES (February 27, 2019) — For the second year in a row, school absences at Quad Cities schools have dropped as a result of the “Challenge 5” initiative, a collaboration between United Way of the Quad Cities and eight local school districts in Scott and Rock Island counties and sponsored by the Arconic Foundation.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (February 21, 2019) — United Way of the Quad Cities announced today that local veteran fundraising professional, Jennifer von Kaenel has been named Senior Vice President, Resource Development, starting January 28, 2019. She returns to the organization where she served as Vice President of Major Gifts and Endowment from 2004-2005.
