Summer Festival Fun
The summer festival season has started!  You won't want to miss a weekend in the Quad Cities this June.  It kicks off with the Rhubarb Festival in Aledo on June 2-3 highlighted by everything rhubarb, huge craft show, and live music.  Mardi Gras has come up river to downtown Rock Island with its zydeco music, Cajun food, and BEADS during Gumbo Ya Ya on June 10.  Opa!  Have fun at Greek Fest on June 9-11.  Go on a bike ride during Ride the River on June 18 and explore beautiful riverfront bike trails. Stop at the John Deere mansions for Blossoms at Butterworth on June 25.
Hot Rod Power Tour
The 6,000 cars in the 2017 Hot Rod Power Tour roar in to the Quad Cities on Monday, June 12.  Open free to the public, attendees can see the cars arrive all afternoon at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in Davenport from noon - 6 pm.  There will be a shuttle to off-site public parking.  Along with the cars, there will be 50 performance manufacturers and aftermarket specialists with opportunities to view the latest innovations and get expert advice.  
 
Summer of Discounts
The Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau has a new program for visitors! Stop by one of four Visitor Centers and pick up a free VIV (Very Important Visitor) wristband. Show the neon green wristband at over 20 participating businesses to receive a discount or special. Discounts vary from discounted admissions to free smoothies. Wristbands are available until September 4, 2017.
Quad Cities Museum Week
Area museums welcome visitors for a week-long adventure of fun activities, great discoveries, and exploration on June 17-25.  Information on the participating museums and their events can be found at www.qcmuseumweek.com.  This year, each museum shines a spotlight on famous Quad Cities people, products, inventions, historical events, and more!
