MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 3, 2021) — Gilda’s Club is hosting a FREE virtual Nature Mandala workshop for children and families impacted by cancer on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, 10:15-11:00AM via Zoom.

Join us via Zoom to channel your creativity through nature and slow movement. Bring a box of salt ready for sensory play. Gather items from around your neighborhood. Build a nature mandala out of items recovered from the ground: Twigs, petals, rocks, seed-pods, grasses, and leaves. Enjoy creating, breathing, and connecting as a whole family.

Sharon Frances (Chappell) is a breast-cancer survivor, parent, educator, writer/artist, and co-founder of Well Beings Studio, a non-profit that engages the arts to support children, teens, and families impacted by cancer, other traumas, and hardships.

Materials needed: Box of salt, twigs, petals, rocks, seed pods, grasses, leaves, and other things you can find outside.

Children and families impacted by cancer are invited to attend. Registration is required at http://www.gildasclubqc.org/calendar. For questions, please call Gilda’s Club at 563-326-7504 or e-mail gc@gildasclubqc.org.
