August 7th - Silver Creek Order of the Eastern Star of LeClaire is hosting a special evening open to everyone to hear a speaker tell about Regenerative Medicine and the research that is being done to find ways to use your own cells to regenerate and heal your own body. There will be a Free Will Offering for this special project being help across America.  A Potluck Supper is being held at 5:30 p.m.at the Masonic Center at 113 S. August 7th-14th - The LeClaire levee and boat ramps will be closed for Tug Fest 2017.  Boaters may utilize the ramp at Green Gables in LeClaire for a small fee or the ramp at Go Fish in Princeton for free.  We appreciate your understanding, apologize for any inconvenience and hope to see you on the levee for Tug Fest August 10 - 12, 2017!

August 8th – LeClaire Chamber Networking Event – Lunch, Subway, noon

August 10th-12th - Tug Fest in LeClaire! Carnival wristband night is on Thursday, 5-10pm; $20 for unlimited rides. Parade and huge fireworks display on Friday evening. Saturday morning there is a 5K Run / 1 Mile Fun Run and kids’ tug is at 11am. The main event, tug-of-war across the Mississippi River between LeClaire, Iowa and Port Byron, Illinois, is from 12:30-2:30pm on Saturday. $5 admission charge to the Levee on Friday and Saturday; kids 12 and under are FREE. September 23rd - Bags-N-Brews on the Levee. 2:30-7pm $20 per person (includes Beer Tasting and Food – Excludes Tournament). $35 per player (includes Bags Tournament Entry, Beer Tasting, and Food). Beer samples from local breweries, free food, and an official bags (AKA Cornhole) tournament. There will also be live music, a silent auction/raffle, and other yard games for those not interested in the tournament.

TribeDoor  www.tribedoor.com  is offering a 6-month free listing service to any Le Claire "small" business that would like to advertise/list on the website. TribeDoor focuses on helping small businesses streamline their online presence in order to get content out to small town shoppers who are flooded with information. 

Some Specifics:

--Businesses can control who reviews them via a passphrase that the consumer will need to submit a review. They also have the option to delete a number of reviews. Also reviews go through an additional process before they are allowed to be assigned to the business listing (for any profanity, etc)

--Businesses can tag items that they are selling and (if a town is selected by a user) can be found in their search results.

--Businesses can create a keyword that their customers can use to easily find them. 

--Businesses will need to classify what type of service they are providing and who it is appropriate for (they can change this at any time)

Twice monthly, the first and third Sundays of the month, the First Presbyterian Church of LeClaire is holding "The Sunday Dinner Senior Club". Seniors and, really anyone, who prefers not to eat alone, can join us for Sunday dinner at11:45, in our fellowship hall. Dinner is dutch treat; the group decides whether to order take-out, bring a sack lunch or potluck. Join us and bring a friend.
