March 10 - Central Dewitt Performing Arts Center brings country musician, Jimmy Weber, to the stage 7 pm. You'll hear music and stories from Jimmy's time on tour with Wayne Newton and his time as lead guitarist for John Denver. March 23 - 7pm: Mississippi River Distilling Company is hosting Fondue Friday with the Faithful Pilot. Join them at the distillery on Friday evening March 23 from 7:30-9 pm for Fondue Friday with the Faithful Pilot. The Pilot will be filling up 4 different fondue pots in the distillery. For $20, you get to explore all the fondue you want plus a full cocktail of your choice. Limited to 50 attendees.

March 24 - 7:30pm: Mississippi River Distilling Company’s Cocktail Cinema – ‘Office Space’. “I’m gonna need you to go ahead and come in for this…” What would be more fun than enjoying a delicious cocktail on the Distillery floor with a classic comedy? That’s what Cocktail Cinema is all about!  They’ll setup up the screen, tables, the movie, popcorn, and, of course, the cocktails. You bring your friends, some food or order a pizza. Movies are free of charge. They do not take reservations. March 26 -  Crane & Pelican (127 S. Second St.) is hosting a button bracelet class. Remember grandma’s button box? It’s like that, but multiplied by a thousand. Learn a little button history and let Crafted QC Owner Mary teach you how to make your own hand-pressed, fabric covered buttons! Finish out your design with a variety of vintage buttons (including Mississippi River pearl buttons) and trinkets from our stash. Tip: Have your own fabric, sentimental vintage fabrics or buttons? Bring ’em with! Thin fabrics work best – think quilting cotton and handkerchiefs. Buttons 1/2″ in diameter are ideal. All supplies included! Cost is $25. March 31 - 11am: LeClaire Easter Egg Hunt at Hollyhock Park, 201 N. 6th Street. Enjoy Easter egg hunt, free food, pictures with the Easter Bunny, and bounce house.

This is an ALL YOU CAN EAT dinner, so bring your family and your appetites. A goodwill donation will be accepted at the door.

Saturday - April 14th - LeClaire Civic Club - Annual Swiss Steak Dinner Serving 4pm to 6:30 pm, Tickets $10, $6 for children 10 and under, includes baked potato, vegetable, dessert and drink.  Public welcome.  Tickets on sale now, contact Ron 563-289-5259 or any club member for tickets.

Our Savior Presbyterian Church – Lenten Season 22530 240th Ave - by Argo Corners. Soup lunch and Lenten Service was held at noon February 14th.  Everyone was invited to join in the prepared 40 days of Lent meditation guide for Lent services with scripture and prayer, and the imposition of ashes on the forehead on Ash Wednesday. The meditation guide was available at the church on Ash Wednesday with scriptures for the following 5 Wednesdays of Lent, but the Lenten soup supper and service will be held at 6 P.M. on the following 5 Wednesdays of Lent, not at noon. Please come join us to celebrate this joyous season of Christ our King.

Thursday, March 15th at 4:30pm: LeClaire Community Library -Teen Advisory Group (TAG) Book Club.  Help plan cool events, request new library materials, share what you’ve been reading (whether you loved it or hated it), learn about new books, hang out, eat snacks, and get the inside scoop on what’s happening at the library! Don’t forget—your attendance earns you service learning hours and looks great on college/job applications! For 7th grade & up.

 

Tuesday, March 20th at 6:30pm: LeClaire Community Library - Junior Explorers. Explore a new science theme each month at the library—March’s theme is Weather! Come in for a fun storytime and hands-on exploratory stations. This program will take the place of Family Storytime and is best for children aged 3-7.

 

Wednesday, March 21st at 10:30am: LeClaire Community Library - Mini Makers. Sensory play encourages toddlers to explore and get to know the world around them. Come to the library to make a mess, have fun, and experience new things on the third Wednesday of every month. This program is best for ages 10 months to 3 years.

 

Friday, March 23rd at 2:00pm: LeClaire Community Library - Drop-In Tech Help. Bring in any device and we will give it a shot! Please arrive with passwords needed to access your device or accounts.
