MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 18, 2021) — The annual Lighting on the Commons will kick off the holiday season in downtown Moline this Saturday, November 20. Spend the afternoon on the John Deere Commons. Festivities begin at 3:30PM and culminate with a lighting ceremony and fireworks beginning at 6PM. Admission to the event is free.

Back again this year are horse-drawn wagon rides, children’s activities, refreshments, live music, and entertainment featuring a World-Famous Harlem Globetrotter, entertainment by the River Music Experience, and the Spotlight Theatre. Santa Claus will also be in town for the event.

The Lighting on the Commons is brought to you by the City of Moline, John Deere, Moline Centre Partners, The TaxSlayer Center, MetroLINK, and MidAmerican Energy.
