DAVENPORT, IOWA (August 27, 2026) — Fall is coming to the farm at Iowa Machine Shed, and families are invited to spend a weekend making memories at the annual Fall Family Festival, Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, 10AM-3PM.
This free family event transforms the grounds of the Machine Shed at I-80 and Northwest Boulevard into a celebration of fall, complete with tractor rides, farm animals, family activities, seasonal displays, shopping, and plenty of opportunities to capture the perfect family photo.
Children can explore a petting zoo, run through a hay bale maze, bounce in the bounce house, enjoy face- and pumpkin-painting, play games, and win prizes throughout the day. Families can hop aboard a tractor ride, visit local vendors, and enjoy fresh kettle corn made on-site, then relax with a family-style breakfast, lunch, or dinner at the Shed.
The festival will feature fall favorites — pumpkins, mums, cornstalks, antique tractors, and the Machine Shed's iconic larger-than-life famous 1,000-pound pig, antique hayrack, and giant cornstalk. The festival offers countless photo opportunities for families looking to update their family calendar, holiday card, or social media pictures with a little fall flair.
