Davenport Public Library to Host Lecture Series on the Middle East

Professor and historian Art Pitz will be presenting his annual Middle East lecture series at the Davenport Public Library and Bettendorf Public Library during the month of May.  Pitz will be discussing the complexities and hot-button topics relating to the Middle East, beginning with An Update on ISIS at Eastern (6000 Eastern Avenue) on Monday, May 1st at 6:30 pm.  The complete lecture series is as follows: Lecture 1—“An Update on ISIS” Monday, May 1st at 6:30 p.m. Davenport Library-Eastern (6000 Eastern Avenue) Lecture 2—“Israel and the Palestinians: One, Two, or Three State Solution?” Monday, May 8th at 6:30 p.m. Bettendorf Library (2950 Learning Campus Dr.) Lecture 3—“The Middle East Refugee Crisis Today” Monday, May 15th at 6:30 p.m. Davenport Library-Eastern (6000 Eastern Avenue) Lecture 4—“A Country Profile: Egypt” Monday, May 22nd at 6:30 p.m. Bettendorf Library (2950 Learning Campus Dr.)
