Gilda’s Club is hosting a FREE series of workshops for anyone impacted by cancer titled “Mindfulness Series” on Wednesdays, December 5, December 12, and December 19, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Gilda’s Club (1234 East River Drive, Davenport, IA).

Are you looking for ways to boost your happiness and to develop a stronger sense of well-being?

The holiday season is upon us leaving many with a variety of mixed emotions and stress. Stress can be helpful and necessary in some situations. However, when stress becomes chronic, it can affect our health.

Each workshop session will explore different areas of a mindful practice including topics such as:
• The science behind a mindful practice

• Research highlighting the impact a mindful practice can have on decreasing stress, strengthening the immune system and promoting a sense of well-being

• Ways to incorporate mindful practice throughout the day

• Interactive and in-session activities

Please feel free to bring your own lunch.
