A Group of QC organizations is sponsoring a FREE MINORITY HEALTH CONFERENCE, April 21, 2018 at Central High School in Davenport, 1120 Main Street Davenport Iowa, lunch is included. Registration for the event will begin at 9:00 AM and the conference will begin at 10 AM. Bus transportation is available from various locations in the Quad Cities.

The event will feature Dr. Jennifer Caudle, D.O. as the keynote speaker. In addition to being Miss Iowa, 1999, she is a regular on the Dr. Oz Show. Dr. Caudle says “The issues we face … can affect our outlook on life, but the reverse is true—our outlook on life can affect the issues.”

Adult breakout sessions include: Life Savings Class, Dental Health, Teen Cell Phone usage and Electronic use, Mental Health, Diabetes Management, Cardiovascular Heath, Senior Health, Housing Discrimination Health Intersect, Women’s Health, Department of Child and Family Services, Opiate Overdose, Financial Health, Life and Health Insurance, Human Trafficking and Navigating Heath Care.

Youth (9 – 12 grades) breakout sessions include: Healthcare Careers, Sports Medicine, Cell Phone Usage, Depression and Anxiety, Financial Health and Life Savings Skills.
