Davenport, Iowa (March 30, 2018) – Spring has barely arrived, but members of the staff and management of the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds are already planning a giant summertime event that involves music, food, drinks and fun. It also will benefit a great cause!

The first Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds’ Indoor Beach Party is set for Saturday, June 16, at the Mississippi Valley Fair Center, 2815 W. Locust St.

Doors open at 4 p.m. Davenport’s Doug Brundies Big Acoustic Show kicks off the music at 4:30 followed by The Boat Drunks from Champaign, Ill., and Bluffett, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band from Oklahoma City.

There will be food, full bars and frozen drinks. Admission is only $5 and some of the proceeds will go to Quad City Veterans Outreach Center (qcvetsoutreach.com), 2720 W. Locust St., which offers a comprehensive portfolio of supportive services designed to meet the needs of veterans and their families. Through the generosity of individuals and the community, all of these programs and services are provided free of charge.

There is ample free parking at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds’ Indoor Beach Party, and camping is available for $10 per tent and $20 per camper.
