Mississippi River Cities & Towns Initiative to Hold Annual Meeting in Quad Cities
Mayors to Host Press Conference on September 19, 2018

WHAT:
More than two-dozen mayors from cities along the Mississippi River will convene in the Rock Island, IL next week for the Mississippi River Cities & Towns Initiative’s (MRCTI) annual meeting. At the press conference on Wednesday, September 19, the mayors will make a major announcement regarding the Mississippi River and partnerships among States, Cities, and the private sector to address a major threat to source water and the $300 billion freshwater economy of the region.

MRCTI, a mayoral-led effort committed to creating a coordinated voice for the Mississippi River, seeks to promote economic and environmental security and stability along the Mississippi River Corridor. Additional information on the group’s annual meeting can be found here.
