Moline, IL - The mikeroweWORKS Foundation and Midwest Technical Institute are pleased to announce the names of the recipients of 2016-2017 MRW/MTI Scholarships for graduating high school seniors.
Established in 2013, the program awards scholarships of varying amounts, for each of MTI’s campuses in mechanical trade, allied health, cosmetology and transportation training programs. This year, 130 students across MTI’s campus network received $650,000 in scholarship funds to help launch their vocational training.
This year’s winners were determined through a multi-step application process which included submission of a video detailing their desire to pursue a skilled trade or allied health career, a questionnaire, a campus visit and in person interview. All applicants who completed the entire process were reviewed by a selection committee who determined the recipients of the scholarships.
