AMES, IA (03/22/2017)-- Cole Neese, Davenport, was among the 22 named award recipients at the annual Iowa State University Agricultural Business Club Banquet in front of university and industry representatives, friends and family.

Neese was the recipient of the Outstanding Club Member - Freshman. Paired with the award is a $750 Mark Deiter scholarship.

The banquet, this year with 270 people in attendance, is an opportunity for club members and their many guests to celebrate the club's success over the past year. The event recognizes scholarship winners from the Department of Economics, honors one outstanding alumnus, and recognizes members' contributions to the club. It also allows families of club members the opportunity to learn more about the club and program their student is in, while interacting with faculty and staff members and industry representatives.

Club advisers select award winners based on involvement and contributions to the club.
