    • 1:00 pm "German-Iowan Newspapers & the News of the Day, 1860-1920

    • 3:oo pm "German- Iowans & the Politics of Brewing"

  • Jan 15th- Opening of " The Culture they Carried: Immigrant Women of Iowa"; a brand new multicultural exhibit featuring immigrant women of different era. We'll explore the different challenges, success, and experiences immigrant women faced in their new home. It will be open from Jan 15- May 21

  • Jan 15th- Talk titled "Kuchen in the Cornfields: German Immigrant Women Finding Community in Iowa" by Jeannette Gabriel. 2Pm

  • Jan 22-  Opening of "1917: The Red Cross"; the first installment of  a new exhibit throughout 2017. 1917: The Red Cross will follow the happening of the year 1917 as well shed light to the Red Cross during the first World War in Iowa. It will be open until May 7th, followed by "1917 Production: Winning the War with Industry" and "1917 Anti-German Sentiment: A War among neighbors". Check in periodically to learn more about the pivotal year of 1917.
