[New Year's Celebrations ]

2016 was rough on all of us, so the downtown businesses are reverting to years past to bring in the New Year. All Sweat Productions is bringing Mo-town back to Davenport. The RME will be packed full of swanky soul performers  on Saturday. Me & Billy is having a groovy evening on Saturyday! Starting at 8 p.m., get down on some solid jams and a fishbowl or two. Jump into the next decade at Analog's Very 80's NYE Party. Make the stroke of midnight a real life John Hughes moment beside your favorite arcade game!
[River Music Experience]

RME experienced a heartbreaking loss after the passing of Ellis Kell, but refused to let the music stop. 2016's Winter Blues Camp, a program pioneered by Kell, is filled with kids ready to keep the blues alive for another generation! Enjoy the music education RME provides Friday night with a jam from the Winter Blues Camp kids.

[Bereskin Art Gallery]

This Bucktown art studio is starting the year off strong. Test your still life drawing skills during Wednesday's "Exploring the Values" class and the "Landscape and Beyond" class will cover acrylic painting styles. However their strongest asset coming into the new year, is their "Artist with Special Needs" classes.
[City Church First Anniversary]

So much has happened over the past year for City Church: a big move, a grand opening, their first Christmas mass, and now it's time to celebrate it all. Join the party on Tuesday evening for City Church's one year celebration! Attend either of the services and stick around for cake and refreshments afterward.
[Barrel House & Local Brews]

Through New Year's day, Barrel House is celebrating our local breweries. Great River Brewery, Front Street Brewery, Bent River Brewery, Green Tree Brewery and Lionstone Brewing Company all have beers on tap! Sample all of them with a flight, or grab a pint of your favorite.
[Tippi Yogi's]

The drinking yoga enthusiasts are going to be all over downtown this week! Tonight, head to The Phoenix for some delicious martinis and downward dogs. Bring your mats to the Front Street Brewery Taproom on Sunday for a little hair of the dog and some relaxation. If Sunday is too much of a struggle, try again on Monday!
[Last Chance]

Three exhibits are closing at downtown museums. The "Indelible Ink" exhibit at German American Heritage Center comes to a close on January 8. New Year's Eve is the last day for the "Giving the Devil His Due" and "American Scene on Paper" exhibits at Figge Art Museum. Plan your trips to these museums before it's too late. Be on the lookout for the new exhibits replacing these ones.
