ELDRIDGE, IOWA (August 27, 2024) — North Scott High School is proud to announce the grand reopening of its newly remodeled football stadium, just in time for the 2024 football season. The stadium, which has been a cornerstone of community pride and school spirit, has undergone significant renovations to enhance the experience for students, athletes, and fans alike.

The extensive remodel, spearheaded by Bruce Builders and Legat Architects, includes state-of-the-art upgrades to the field, seating, and overall infrastructure. The project represents a significant investment in our students and the future of our community, ensuring that North Scott High School remains a top-tier facility for athletics and events. Total construction contracts total $6.9 million.

The grand reopening event is scheduled for September 13th, coinciding with the North Scott Lancers’ first home game of the season. The evening will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6:30PM. The North Scott Lancers will then take the field against Davenport Assumption, showcasing their talent in the newly upgraded stadium.

Key Enhancements Include:

            •           New Turf Field: The installation of a cutting-edge synthetic turf, providing a safer, more durable playing surface.

            •           Upgraded Seating: Expanded seating capacity with improved comfort and visibility for spectators.

            •           Modernized Facilities: Updated locker rooms, restrooms, and concession areas to better serve athletes and fans

Stadium Enhancements are a part of NS Vision 2025: The North Scott School District is seeking to improve current facilities to provide a better learning environment for our students. We are expanding career pathways for our students in construction, diesel, and agriculture in addition to enhancing two elementary buildings, the junior and senior high schools and athletic facilities. Our Vision continues to improve North Scott to be a district of choice to live, work, and learn.

North Scott High School invites the entire community to join in the celebration of this milestone. The remodeled stadium is a testament to the collective efforts and unwavering support of everyone involved, and we are excited to share it with you.
