Public Notice is hereby given that the Scott County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to take comments on a proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan for Scott County. The Planning and Zoning Commission will be discussing proposed criteria to be used in reviewing a Special Use Permit for wineries, tasting rooms and associated event centers.
The Scott County Planning and Zoning Commission received and reviewed an application to amend the Special Permitted Uses in the Agricultural-General (A-G) Zoning District to allow wineries, tasting rooms and associated facilities as a Special Use. In conjunction with that review, the Commission will be considering an addendum to the Economic Development Land Use Polices to establish criteria and parameters for the Board of Adjustment to use to determine if such applications can be approved, and what conditions may be required and/or appropriate for such an approval.
The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. in the Magistrate’s Courtroom in the Scott County Courthouse, 400 West 4th Street, Davenport, Iowa 52801. The Planning and Zoning Commission will hear comments on the proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan in order to make a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors on such an amendment.
Additional information is available for review at the Planning and Development Department.
