Davenport Fire Public Education Officer Lt. Zach Soliz advises that Operation Prom is Thursday, April 19, at Central High School and Friday, April 20, at North High School.   Students will be dismissed at 9:30AM and the program begins at 9:45AM both days.  At Central, the event will be staged in the south parking lot off Main Street and at North, the staging area is in the lot next to the Y.  Look for the emergency vehicles.

As you may know, Operation Prom is a timely, visual presentation for high school juniors and seniors to demonstrate the potential consequences of drinking and driving. This is a very emotional experience for the parents, students and teachers involved in the scenario; if you haven’t seen it before, I would encourage you to put it on your calendar and attend.

Lt. Soliz will be on site both days and available to answer your questions following the program.

Davenport Fire, Police, Medic EMS, Fred’s Towing and Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home are assisting with the demonstration.
