DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 30, 2019) — Gilda’s Club is hosting a FREE workshop titled “Peripheral Neuropathy and Fall Prevention” on Monday, November 18, 2:45–3:45PM, at Gilda’s Club (1234 East River Drive, Davenport, Iowa).

Peripheral neuropathy is a common side-effect of cancer treatment, affecting approximately 70% of all cancer survivors. Neuropathy results from damage to the peripheral nerves, causing weakness, numbness, and pain, typically in the hands and feet, and is frequently a cause of falls.

Please join us for a workshop with Madison Rolling, occupational therapy student and intern at Gilda’s Club Quad Cities.

This workshop will focus on:

  • Causes, symptoms, and implications of peripheral neuropathy;
  • Suggestions for symptom management and treatment options; and
  • Tips for preventing falls in the home and community.

Registration is required. For more details and to register, please call Gilda’s Club at 563-326-7504, email gc@gildasclubqc.org or visit www.gildasclubqc.org/calendar.
