Davenport, Iowa, January 9, 2011 - A new feature for Davenport golfers, Player Cards, are now available for sale starting today. Cards are for sale at The Rivers Edge, 700 West River Dr in downtown Davenport. The River's Edge is open from 6am to 10pm, Monday through Sunday. Player Cards are re-loadable cards for use of Green Fees, Cart Fees, and Range Fees and are valid on all 3 public courses in the city Emeis, Duck Creek, and Red Hawk Golf & Learning Center.

Cards purchased through Feb 28th 2012 will include a 10% bonus on the card, compliments of Davenport Golf. For example, a Player Card purchased for $200 will have $220 of value on the card.

Player Cards will not include concession and Pro-shop merchandise purchases and Player Cards will require a $100/minimum transaction.

Further details regarding the Player Cards are available by calling the River's Edge at 328-7275, or by visiting www.golfdavenport.com. At this time, Player Cards are only available for sale in person at the River's Edge.

"The Player Card is part of our efforts to offer more to our golf customer," according to Troy Evans, Superintendent of Revenue Facilities. "The indoor golf range we opened at River's Edge last month has been a tremendous hit, and we believe our customers will see a great value in the Player Cards as well."

Duck Creek Golf course remains open this winter unless snow covers the course or temperatures impair play on the greens.
