DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 29, 2026) — Alternating Currents and Purina are partnering to bring Purina's Incredible Dog Team to Downtown Davenport this August in celebration of Dog Chow's 100th anniversary and Purina's nearly century-long connection to the Quad Cities.
Purina's Incredible Dog Team will perform three free, high-energy shows during the 2026 Alternating Currents festival on Saturday, August 15, at 11AM, 1PM, and 4:30PM. Festivalgoers can gather near 2nd Street and Pershing Avenue to watch talented canine athletes and their trainers showcase incredible agility, speed, precision, and teamwork through a series of exciting demonstrations designed to entertain audiences of all ages.
The partnership also includes a special trainer meet-and-greet on Friday, August 14, 4-5:30PM, giving attendees an opportunity to meet some of the remarkable dogs behind the performances. All performances and the meet-and-greet are free to attend.

As Dog Chow celebrates its centennial in 2026, the collaboration also shines a spotlight on Purina's nearly century-long presence in the Quad Cities, where its Davenport manufacturing facility is preparing to celebrate its own 100-year anniversary in 2027. Together, the milestones reflect Purina's enduring investment in the community and the people who have helped shape its legacy.

Purina's Incredible Dog Team has entertained audiences across the country with spectacular canine performances showcasing talented dogs and their trainers through exciting agility, flying disc, and interactive demonstrations.
In addition to the performances, festival attendees will have opportunities to engage with the team throughout the weekend while enjoying the hundreds of free experiences that make up Alternating Currents.
Now in its ninth year, Alternating Currents transforms Downtown Davenport, Bettendorf, and Rock Island into a four-day celebration of music, film, comedy, visual arts, public art, and creative culture. The 2026 festival features more than 200 artists performing across dozens of venues, with all official programming free to attend.
