What is a MakeFest?

MakeFest is a family-friendly event designed to showcase learning and making in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. There will be demonstrations in robotics, quadcopter / multirotor copters, virtual reality (VR), 3D printing, individuals displaying their projects and vendors selling a variety of products, many of which are personally made.

About the QC Co-Lab:

The QC Co-Lab, established in 2010, as a community-driven, 501(c)3 non-profit organization with physical space, was created to be a haven for technologists, entrepreneurs, engineers, artists, educators, and hobbyists to meet and create. Our mission is to promote STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) with creative resources including a CNC router, laser cutter, 3D printers, wood shop, auto shop, pottery studio, and common areas for gathering and collaborating on projects. As the oldest and largest makerspace in the Quad Cities, the QC Co-Lab is the premiere place for the ‘do it yourself’ types and tinkerers alike. For more information, visit www.qccolab.com.
