DAVENPORT, IOWA (March 1, 2022) — The Mayors Quad City Young Adult Hiring Fair will be taking place tomorrow, March 2, 12–5PM, at the TaxSlayer Center. The event will introduce high-school and college students to local businesses looking for entry-level and summer employees. Mayors will gather at noon to open the event and will be available for interviews afterward. Representatives from the QCA Young Adult Hiring Fair Committee will be available to speak with the media about the impact this event has on the young workforce and local businesses.

More than thirty local businesses will be in attendance, and they will give students the chance for immediate interviews and potential offers at the event. Businesses have a variety of part-time, full-time, and seasonal job opportunities to help fill job openings within their companies. Students aged 16-24 are invited to attend so they can look for first-time job experience or a part-time job.

The QCA Young Adult Hiring Fair Committee is made up of representatives from IowaWorks, the American Job Center, the QC Chamber, the Moline Foundation, Iowa Intermediary, EICC, Blackhawk, and QC area school districts, including the Davenport Community School District.
