BETTENDORF, IOWA (November 13, 2025) — Due to popular demand, the Quad Cities Community Foundation will once again offer two flagship educational programs in 2026 through the Hunt and Diane Harris Center for Nonprofit Excellence. The Effective Nonprofit Management Cohort and the Strong Board Governance series will both be offered through a series of sessions beginning on January 15, 2026, and running throughout the year.
Registration for the 2026 offerings of these powerful, individualized programs opens on November 17, 2025. An information session for interested participants will be held on the same day.
“We listened to our local non-profits and the individuals who participated this past year,” said Daisy Moran, director of the Harris Center.
“The result is programming shaped by non-profits, for non-profits. We’re proud to bring these programs back to our non-profit sector and continue to expand and improve our offerings to serve local organizations in the best way.”
In 2025, more than 100 individuals representing over sixty organizations took part in two programs. Participants are already reporting dramatic growth and stronger outcomes for their organizations. Across the Quad Cities region, non-profits are working more efficiently, leading with greater confidence, and expanding their impact thanks to the practical tools and resources gained through these programs.
“The Harris Center is one of the best resources in our community,” said Jasmine Babers-Gunn, Executive Director of Her Voice Media and a Harris Center program participant.
“The programs help ground my thinking as a leader. They provided the assurance, love, and support every organization needs to thrive.”
Guided by feedback from past participants and led by expert consultants, next year’s sessions are designed to make learning even more relevant, discussions even more actionable, and connections even more meaningful than ever before.
Delivered in partnership with the Morten Group, the Effective Nonprofit Management Cohort leads participants through a series of courses focused on leadership and management, finance, fundraising, storytelling, and marketing. The Strong Board Governance series is led by Wastyn and Associates and Iman Consulting, with six in-depth sessions designed to help new and aspiring board members work together effectively to fulfill the shared mission and vision of their organizations.
