BETTENDORF, IOWA (November 19, 2025) — Even before recent disruptions in federal programs, food insecurity in the Quad Cities region had reached a four-year high — impacting more than 137,000 people in the area. Now, with uncertainty surrounding future federal support and additional benefit cuts on the horizon, families across the Quad Cities community are facing greater challenges in putting food on the table.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (November 13, 2025) — Due to popular demand, the Quad Cities Community Foundation will once again offer two flagship educational programs in 2026 through the Hunt and Diane Harris Center for Nonprofit Excellence. The Effective Nonprofit Management Cohort and the Strong Board Governance series will both be offered through a series of sessions beginning on January 15, 2026, and running throughout the year.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (November 3, 2025) — Applications for Quad Cities Community Foundation scholarships are now open for 2026. Thanks to generous donors, local students can apply for more than seventy scholarship opportunities totaling over $600,000.

Applications are due by February 15, 2026, with recipients announced in May. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (October 29, 2025) — This summer, neighbors across the Quad Cities dug into their backyards and community plots with a shared purpose: Grow food, fight hunger, and build stronger connections. Thanks to support from the Quad Cities Community Foundation’s Transformation Grant, Tapestry Farms has launched GIFT Gardens (Growing Illowa Food Together), a community-driven food initiative.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (October 28, 2025) — For a limited time, the Quad Cities Community Foundation will match — dollar for dollar — any new gift to an endowment fund held at the Community Foundation, up to $500 per household.

A total of $50,000 in donor gifts will be matched.

The match opportunity opens at 8AM on October 28, and will close once all $50,000 in matching funds have been claimed.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (September 29, 2025) Thirty-six local non-profits are receiving $629,000 through the Quad Cities Community Foundation’s Operations and Program Grants.

The Operations and Program Grants are made possible by generous donations to Field of Interest Funds as well as the Quad Cities Community Impact Fund. The grants make up the Community Foundation’s largest competitive grantmaking cycle each year.

The Brissman Foundation is a private foundation administered by the Quad Cities Community Foundation.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (August 18, 2025) — The Quad Cities Community Foundation will host Women and Wealth, a panel conversation on purposeful planning for giving and legacy on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

This free event will feature a panel of local experts offering guidance on how women can align their values, financial goals, and philanthropic aspirations.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (August 1, 2025) — The Quad Cities Community Foundation has announced the opening of the 2025 QC River Connections Grant Program on August 1.
