Today Diane and Hunt Harris, one the Quad-Cities most generous philanthropic couples and successful business owners formally announced their endorsement of Moline mayoral candidate, business owner and alderman at-large, Stephanie Acri.

"I endorse Stephanie Acri for mayor of Moline,” said Hunt Harris. “Her demonstrated leadership, business acumen, financial conservatism, integrity and vision for Moline’s future make her my choice to lead Moline for the next four years.”

Diane Harris also weighed in with her support for Acri. “I feel it is very important to have choices in the democratic process of elections. Stephanie will listen to every side of an issue,” said Diane Harris. “She has demonstrated excellent leadership both on the City Council as well as her volunteer support of non-profits in our area. Stephanie Acri is clearly my choice for mayor of Moline.”

“The faith and confidence that Diane and Hunt Harris have in my leadership inspires me to work even harder and set bigger goals for Moline,” Acri said. “They have been such a good friends to the City of Moline and have done so much for the residents of our community. Having their support will help propel me through the primary and on to the general election.”

Acri enjoyed another coffee chat session at Milltown Coffee with residents from Moline’s 5th Ward last Friday morning. She plans to continue this series up until the primary election on Feb. 28 where she is a write-in candidate for mayor. Next Friday, January 7, the 7th ward will be the focus of discussions.
