DES MOINES, IOWA (November 4, 2019) — State Treasurer Michael L Fitzgerald announced the appointment of Randi McLaughlin as Deputy Treasurer for the state treasurer's office. McLaughlin started her treasury career in 1986 and most recently had served as an executive officer within office.

"Randi has been an integral team member and exemplary employee for my staff and in our office for over 30 years," said Fitzgerald. "Her training and skills will prove valuable as she assumes a senior leadership position in the treasurer's office."

"I am honored to be named Deputy Treasurer by Treasurer Fitzgerald," McLaughlin said. "I appreciate the opportunity and look forward to the challenges."

As Deputy Treasurer, McLaughlin will lead the internal treasury management functions, which includes cash management, finance, and accounting. McLaughlin earned her BA degree from Iowa State University. McLaughlin is a Certified Treasury Professional through the Association of Financial Professionals and a former board director of the Association.
