MOLINE, ILLINOIS (October 21, 2022) — The Moline Public Library and Ascentra Credit Union are pleased to recognize Moline-Coal Valley School District’s first graders and students in mixed first-grade classes who completed the 2022 Grrreat Tiger Tales Reading Challenge. Awards ceremonies for the schools are scheduled 10:30AM-3:10PM, Saturday, November 5, at the Library.

Tiger Tales encourages first graders and students in mixed first-grade classes to read ten books during the month of October. Students who have completed the challenge are invited to attend a pizza party with their family, where they will have their name announced as they receive a plush tiger and a certificate of achievement. Photo opportunities with classmates and Ascentra’s mascot Jumpin’ George round out this very special event. Over 500 students are expected to celebrate with their families this year, the first in-person Tiger Tales party since 2019.
