MOLINE, ILLINOIS (February 28, 2024) — Progressive Action for the Common Good (PACG) announces that they are sponsoring a forum on renewable energy, focusing on how to access federal and state incentives available to help finance home projects. The forum will be held at the Western Illinois University QC Campus at 3300 River Drive in Moline, Room 111 in Riverfront Hall, 10AM-12:30PM, on Saturday, March 9. The forum is free, but registration is required, as seating is limited. Check pacgqc.org for registration information. The forum is co-sponsored by Western Illinois University, WQPT, WVIK, and the Citizens Climate Lobby.

If you would like to save money on your electric bill, reduce your carbon footprint, and become energy independent, this conference will be of interest to you. Attendees will learn the pros and cons of solar power, air-source heat pumps, and geothermal energy, as well as how to choose a reliable contractor. Presenters will include participants from the Citizens Utility Board of Illinois and the Geothermal Alliance of Illinois, with Mark Ridolfi, Managing Editor of the North Scott Press, moderating the presentations.  Exhibitors will include local vendors.

As progressives, PACG empowers people to take action for positive change and social justice by coordinating a network of community forums and events aimed at educating and engaging citizens to work for the common good of all.  Our core values are Social Justice, Empowerment, Diversity, Sustainability, and Community.
