The annual Harvest Festival will be a family-friendly event supporting Governor Kim Reynolds

Today, Governor Kim Reynolds announced the inaugural Kim Reynolds Harvest Festival. The family-friendly event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds and will be filled with fun for the entire family.

"Kevin and I are excited to host the Harvest Festival. As the proud grandparents of nine grandchildren, we wanted this event to center around families. So, you can count on pumpkin decorating, balloon animals, a picture booth, BBQ, and live music from an Iowa home-grown band, The Nadas."

Joining Governor Reynolds at this year's Harvest Festival will be Republican leaders and special guest Missouri Governor Eric Greitens, who will serve as the keynote speaker.

"I'm excited for Iowans to have the opportunity to meet my good friend, Governor Eric Greitens. He is an inspiring individual who continually fights for more jobs, higher pay, safer streets and better schools. Eric is a true American patriot who served our nation as a Navy SEAL and served four tours of duty in the Global War on Terror."

Lt. Governor Gregg also expressed enthusiasm for the event. "What better way to spend a beautiful fall day in Iowa than participating in the Harvest Festival. It's an opportunity to slow down, relax and enjoy the moment with your family and friends."
