AMANA, Iowa- Looking for a romantic weekend get-away? The Amana Colonies have designated February 17th through the 19th as Romance Weekend.
This weekend features special events, food sampling, shopping, entertainment, dinners, and overnight stays in the historic seven villages that make up the Amana Colonies. Many of the businesses have planned special events including a three day Couples Workshop entitled “Getting the Love You Want”. There will be live musical entertainment on Saturday afternoon along with a Beer and Chocolate Pairing. Most of the wineries and specialty food shops will have samplings and there is a special 4 course Wine and Dine Dinner that features a different wine with each course on Saturday evening.
Selected area hotels and B&B’s are featuring special overnight packages for those wanting to escape for an evening or the entire weekend.
