ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (September 29, 2025) — SAL Community Services will hold a groundbreaking to celebrate a $15.7 million project on Friday, October 3, 1PM. The groundbreaking will be located at the corner of 11th Street and 21st Avenue in Rock Island, Illinois.

The new 32,500 square-foot campus will provide high-quality, evidence-based early-childhood education in safe, modern classrooms, expand enrollment to meet critical demand, and offer innovative intergenerational learning with residents of Friendship Manor Retirement Community. It will be a place where children can grow and thrive, parents can pursue work and education with confidence, teachers can develop rewarding careers, and seniors find meaning and friendship as they engage with our kiddos. This campus represents a foundation for opportunity, access, and last impact in Rock Island.
