The female driver was not wearing a helmet, but the juvenile passenger was.
Investigation determined a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica, driven by an adult female, was pulling out of the high-school parking lot turning left to head west and failed to yield to the motorcycle who was traveling east on Belmont Rd.
However, there was no actual collision between the two vehicles.
The van was able to stop in time to avoid the collision; however, the motorcycle took evasive maneuvers to avoid the impending collision which caused the motorcycle to lay down on its side.
The driver sustained a head injury as a result and was transported to local hospital for treatment.
Her juvenile passenger sustained minor injuries and was also transported to local hospital for treatment.
Their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
The driver of the van was uninjured.
