DES MOINES, IOWA (January 28, 2019) — Sen Charles "Chuck" Grassley met or will meet with Iowans from the Iowa Bankers Association, the Iowa Association of School Boards, the Iowa Mentoring Partnership, St. Ambrose University, Dordt College, the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation and the National Federation of the Blind of Iowa.

Sen Grassley met or will meet with Iowa families visiting Washington, D.C., from Council Bluffs, Fort Dodge, Sioux Center, Davenport, Decorah, Ackley and Des Moines.

Sen Grassley will meet with students participating in the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders. These students are studying at Drake University and the University of Iowa.

Sen Grassley was or will be on public affairs programs with Cindy Kohlmann on KDTH in Dubuque, Jeff Stein on KXEL in Waterloo, Doug Wagner on WMT in Cedar Rapids and Sally Hart on KCII in Washington.

On Monday, January 28 at 6 p.m. (ET), Sen. Grassley will speak to the National Federation of the Blind. Grassley will receive an award for his work championing the Marrakesh Treaty to facilitate access to published works for persons who are blind, visually impaired or otherwise print disabled, and its implementing legislation.

On Tuesday, January 29 at 9:40 a.m. (ET), Sen. Grassley will speak to the Christian Student Leadership Conference.

On Tuesday, January 29 at 10 a.m. (ET), Sen. Grassley will participate in a Senate Judiciary Committee executive business meeting to consider pending judicial nominations.

On Tuesday, January 29 at 10:15 a.m. (ET), Sen. Grassley will preside over a Senate Finance Committee Hearing titled “Drug Pricing in America: A Prescription for Change, Part I.”

On Tuesday, January 29 at 2:30 p.m. (ET), Sen. Grassley will participate in a Senate Budget Committee Hearing titled “CBO’s Budget and Economic Outlook: Fiscal Years 2019-2029.”
