DES MOINES, IOWA (April 1, 2019) — Here is information about Senator Charles "Chuck" Grassley’s schedule this week. The Senate is in session. 

Sen Grassley met or will meet with Iowans from the American Physical Therapy Association, the Renewable Fuels Association, the Save the Children Action Network, the Alzheimer’s Association, the Window and Door Manufacturers Association, the Iowa Bankers Association, the Mortgage Bankers Association, the American Kidney Foundation, the Iowa Motor Truck Association, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, the Iowa Division of Credit Unions, the Iowa Automotive Recyclers, the American Council of Life Insurers, the Iowa Funeral Directors Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the National Roofing Contractors Association.

Sen Grassley met or will meet with Iowa families visiting Washington DC, from Ankeny, Jesup, Coralville, Lake City, West Des Moines, and Des Moines.

Sen Grassley was or will be on a public affairs program with Allison Maass of Gray TV.

On Monday, April 1 at 5:30PM (ET), Sen Grassley will participate in a Senate Agriculture Committee business meeting on the nomination of Heath P Tarbert to be chairman and a commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

On Tuesday, April 2 at 10AM (ET), Sen Grassley will participate in a Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing titled “Arbitration in America.”

On Wednesday, April 3 at 11AM (ET), Sen Grassley will attend a Joint Session of Congress featuring Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. As Senate president pro tempore, Sen Grassley is a member of the Escort Committee for the Joint Session of Congress.

On Wednesday, April 3 at 2:15PM (ET), Sen Grassley will participate in a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Intellectual Property hearing titled “Trailblazers and Lost Einsteins: Women Inventors and the Future of American Innovation.”

On Thursday, April 4 at 9AM (ET), Sen Grassley will attend the Advanced Bioeconomy Leadership Conference where he will receive the Holmberg Award for Lifetime Achievement.
