PRESS RELEASE (April 3, 2019) — Senator Kamala Harris will make her third trip to Iowa as a Democratic presidential candidate April 10 and 11. On Wednesday, Sen Harris will hold a town hall meeting in Iowa City at the University of Iowa where, among other issues, she will lay out her plan to give Iowa teachers a $12,200 raise by the end of her first term. This trip will be another opportunity for Iowans to hear directly from Sen Harris about her vision for America and ask her questions about important issues.

Members of the public interested in attending the Wednesday town hall at the University of Iowa should RSVP HERE.

Sen Harris is running a campaign that is organizing in every corner of the state and announced last month that she has supporters in all 99 Iowa counties. Sen Harris also recently announced her campaign in Iowa will host student and youth organizing trainings on college and community college campuses across the state, including at the University of Iowa. This effort will allow the Harris campaign to harness the organizing power of students before they head home for the summer.

Additional details about this trip will be announced soon.
